I got to meet Richard at Navdanya, the farm in India where we were both volunteering. A person of inspiration and passion, Richard started an Ashram in Trinidad, supporting others to devote their lives to bettering themselves and each other through the divine. Such a strong spirit within him, he was a light at the farm.
Stranger even, we both finished our time on the farm together, parting ways on the same day. I was up in Rishikesh where I ran into an old friend from Gainesville Florida. And while out for lunch, I started telling my friend about this guy on the farm who was so amazing at playing the flute, and all around how incredible his music was. And Niriyan stopped me and said, "Richard?" They had met in Vrindavan a month or so before, both having a great passion for Krishna.
All of us are interwoven together. A fabric of humanity on the bed of earth. I'm so grateful for Richards music in this world. It is my alarm every morning, and some of the most honest music of intention I've heard in a long time.
